“Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day; teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime”, words by great Philosopher Maimonides is truly inspiration to all. Students who are pursuing their graduation are at a turning point in their life. Most of the students have joined the BBA Programme with some confusions like is it a good course that will help them to crack a better career for their bright future. In order to wipe out all their anxieties, the Department of Business Administration has organized an orientation session titled “Avenue to Corporate Professionalism for the first year BBA students on 17th February 2023 at the college seminar hall.

Dr. Sopna V. Mohammed, Associate Professor and HoD, Department of Business Administration of MES College, Marampally was the resource person of the session. Dr. Sopna V. Mohammed is having 23 years of experience in Teaching and published a good number of papers in various reputed journals. She always gives importance to Activity oriented teaching which makes sure that her classes are always productive. She was the apt person for the session titled “Avenue to the Corporate Professionalism” as her experience in Teaching and Industry really helped our students to have great knowledge about the management stream and to mold themselves as a best professionals.

The resource Person explained how the BBA programme is differ from other graduation programmes and what are the immense opportunities are waiting for the management students. She also explained about the importance of maintaining professionalism from the campus and how it is going to help them to lead a good career in the corporate world. Later, she organized a management quiz for the students, through which they learned information about updated business trends. The session was concluded by sharing information about various Post Graduation Programmes and job opportunities for the management students.

Total of 40 students have attended the session and the session was coordinated by Ms. Ashina Z (Faculty Coordinator) and Ms. Abeesha K.A. (Student Coordinator).
