A cancer survey was conducted as part of cancer day by the NSS Unit in association with Sudheendra medical mission, Karknos Health Care group. The program culminated with a cancer detection camp on February 18 at Al Ameen College.
The cancer survey was conducted by NSS volunteers from January 30 to February 18, 2023. They gave awareness about cancer among the people. Volunteers came to know about the situation of people as a part of the survey. All the physical details of the people were collected which helped to organise the camp systematically. All students, teachers and staff members were informed and encouraged to participate in the camp.
On February 18, the cancer detection camp started at 9.30 am. There were about 30 people who participated and were sent for further testing. The camp ended by 1.30 pm.
