Department Of Commerce(Self), Al Ameen College, Edathala, in association with IIC, IEDC  conducted a workshop titled “Start up & Entrepreneurship ” on 20 th February  2024 for the first year BCom students . The resource person was Mr. Vishnu Lona Jacob, from Start up Village Kochi.  The workshop aimed to introduce first year B Com students to the fundamentals of starting and running a successful business.

Key events:-

The workshop started with a silent prayer followed by a warm welcome speech by Jesniya , our third year student. Mr. Vishnu delivered an insightful presentation covering various aspects of startups and entrepreneurship. He shared his expertise, experiences, and valuable insights into the entrepreneurial journey, including ideation, market analysis, funding, and scaling.

The workshop included interactive sessions where students could ask questions, seek clarifications, and engage in discussions on different entrepreneurial topics.

Aparna, our third year student  extended her gratitude to Mr. Vishnu Lona Jacob for sharing his knowledge and expertise with the students. She also thanked the college management for organizing such an informative session.

Outcome: The workshop provided students with a foundational understanding of startup principles and ignited their interest in entrepreneurship. They gained insights into the challenges and opportunities in the startup ecosystem, inspiring them to explore entrepreneurial endeavors in the future. Additionally, the interactive nature of the workshop fostered a sense of engagement and enthusiasm among the participants.

Overall, the workshop on Startup & Entrepreneurship proved to be a valuable learning experience for the first-year B.Com students, equipping them with knowledge and motivation to pursue their entrepreneurial aspirations.
