Health and Wellness Centre

Al-Ameen College has established a Health and Wellness Centre to promote a healthy and supportive campus environment. The Centre focuses on both preventive and curative care and gives high priority to the physical and psychological wellbeing of its students and staff. With a view to creating a healthy and supportive learning environment, a number of health and wellness facilities have been established on the campus.

The key initiatives and facilities are detailed below:

  1. Counselling Services
To ensure regular access to professional psychological support, the College has engaged two qualified counsellors.
  • One counsellor is appointed by the College Management.
  • One counsellor is provided under the Sanjeevani initiative.

With the presence of two counsellors, students are able to avail counselling services on all working days for academic, personal, or emotional concerns.

  1. She Zone (Resting Facility for Female Students)
A dedicated She Zone is provided on the campus exclusively for female students. The facility offers:
  • A private and safe environment
  • A bed and cot for resting in case of discomfort
  • Chairs and seating arrangements
  • Clean drinking water
  • Other basic amenities such as fans, hygiene supplies and rest provisions

This facility allows female students who are unwell to rest comfortably during working hours without leaving the campus.

  1. First Aid Facility
A fully stocked First Aid Kit is maintained in the Administrative Office. The kit contains essential medical supplies for handling minor injuries and emergencies. The facility is easily accessible to both staff and students, and authorised staff are available to provide basic first aid whenever required.
  2. Collaboration with Hospital for Concessional Treatment
The College has entered into an institutional collaboration with Sree Sudheendra Medical Mission Hospital to facilitate concessional treatment for both students and staff. Through this partnership:
  • Students and staff receive concessional rates on consultations, diagnostics and treatment.
  • In case of emergency, the College can coordinate directly with the hospital for immediate medical support.
  • This arrangement also helps in referrals and follow-up care when required.

    5. Proximity and Accessibility to Nearby Hospitals and Clinics
