On 20th February 2023, the Department of Chemistry, in association with IIC and IEDC, Al – Ameen College Edathala, Aluva, organised a programme, “Turning Ideas into Business – A Day with Successful Entrepreneur”, a motivational talk by Mr Anise N A (Alumni), Managing Director, Marino Elastomers India Pvt. Ltd, Aluva. The objective of the programme was to utilise the expertise of a successful entrepreneur to give a better future to our students.
The programme started with a silent prayer, and Dr Leji Latheef, head of the department of chemistry, gave a warm welcome to the resource person. Mr. Anise began the session by providing an overview of his rubber-based company, Marino Elastomers India Pvt. Ltd. It was a valuable experience for our students since they study about plastics and rubber in their curriculum. He also shared his struggles during the early stages of his journey. The speaker interacted with the students; gave tips on how to start a new company, the different steps to execute and the formalities of the government. Students were encoraged to learn how to persist longer, produce higher quality efforts, learn more deeply and perform better in the future. It was a great experience for the students and encouraged them in their career planning.
