The Post Graduate Department of Computer Sciences has organized an Induction on Data Science and AI for students on 23 August 2023 in association with IIC and IEDC. The session was handled by Jacob Thomas, Delivery Manager, TCS. He introduced key concepts on Sentiment Analytics, Block chain Technology; defining critical terms, capabilities as well as current limitations of Data Analytics. It was started at 10.00 am and continued till 12.00 pm. All the students and faculty members participated in the programme providing them with valuable exposure to a wide range of AI technologies and data Analytic areas.
Event Objective:
- To bridge the gap between students & faculties.
- To make the students aware about the course culture and inform the students about current trends and technology.
- To prepare the students about their career goal & how to work on it.
- To involve and learn about the career development process and develop their skills.
- To create awareness among students about the professional etiquettes.
- To promote the students for enhancing their skills & learn about the various innovative ways to enhance their career.
The students displayed a strong interest in the project ideas discussed and acquired substantial knowledge in the areas of Blockchain Technology and Sentiment Analytics.They had the opportunity to familiarize themselves to Data Analytics whilst also having the opportunity to interact with one of the best resource person from Tata Consultancy and Services. The program coordinator was Mrs. Abhinsha Meeran. The programme came to an end with a vote of thanks by Mrs.Roshin Rafi.
