The Institution’s Innovation Council of Al Ameen College, Edathala celebrated “World Creativity and Innovation Day” on 21st April 2023 at AIS SPACE, Al-Ameen College, Edathala. This day is dedicated to promoting creative and innovative thinking as essential drivers of human progress, economic growth, and sustainability. It provides an opportunity to acknowledge and encourage creative problem-solving and innovation across various domains, including business, science, technology, and the arts. Creativity and innovation are vital for addressing complex issues, fostering economic growth, and improving the quality of life. They drive advancements in various fields, from science and technology to art and culture. Recognizing the significance of these abilities, WCID aims to promote a culture of creativity and innovation worldwide.

World Creativity and Innovation Day has several important goals:

  • Raise Awareness: The day serves as a platform to raise awareness about the critical role of creativity and innovation in addressing global challenges and achieving sustainable
  • Inspire Action: By showcasing innovative projects and success stories, WCID inspires individuals and organizations to take action and prioritize creative problem-solving.
  • Promote Collaboration: It encourages collaboration among diverse groups, such as government agencies, businesses, educational institutions, and the general public, to work together on innovative solutions.
  • Support Sustainable Development: WCID aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), emphasizing how creativity and innovation can contribute to a better future.

The session was handled by Mr. Mohammed Riyaz, CEO of Hexameta technologies. He displayed a robot that had forward, backward as well as sideways movement with dancing movements too. The external body of the robot was developed from a 3D printer. While the robot was designed with an arduino board, moving with the help of an ultrasonic distance sensor by contouring the nearby vicinity. The students were all mesmerized by the technology behind the robotic dance.
