When massive floods hit the Desaposhini library at Kadungalloor in August, 1000-odd books were found useless, much to the shock of the library authorities. However, the NSS volunteers of Al-Ameen College were quick to help. They cleaned up the library and literally washed and dried the books before they could restore them in a readable condition (30.08.2018). The librarian and the local residents also extended a helping hand in the mission, led by NSS program officers Abdul Salam and Shahanoor Beegum.
