The IIC conducted a Seminar on the “Role of Universities in creating Innovation and Entrepreneurship Ecosystem at Colleges “to create an awareness among the academic community on the need to create an entrepreneurial and innovative ecosystem in the colleges. So that they are ready to face the competition and challenges in the global employment scenario. The support that the University can provide to the affiliated colleges is significant in this context.

 The encouraging and motivational talk was extended to us by Dr Radhakrishnan E K, Director Innovation and Assistant Professor, MG University, Kerala. The resource person underlined the importance of universities in creating an innovative hub in the colleges. The technological knowhow needed by the affiliating arts and science colleges are to be coordinated by the University to create the innovative eco system in Higher Educational Institutions. The knowledge sharing and the space for research and training as well as the plat form to develop ideas can be initiated by the Universities so that the initial thrust needed for creating Innovation and Entrepreneurship Ecosystem at College will be much less stressful for the affiliating non-technical colleges.

It was indeed a highly motivational exposure for both faculty and students. The programme commenced with a welcome speech by Dr Kala N, IIC President ,presidential address by Dr. Cini Kurian Principal and concluded with a vote of thanks by Ashina Z ,IIC Convenor.
