Not all stories might inspire everyone. But, some unique stories may encourage some people who are determined about their goals. So, to motivate our business aspirants, the Department of Business Administration has organized an interactive session with trailblazers titled “FAIRY TALES FROM RIAFY” on 23.02.2023 at the college Seminar Hall. The session was arranged in association with RIAFY Technology Pvt. Ltd. The resource persons of the session were Mr. Neeraj Manoharan, COO and Co-Founder, Mr. Benoy Joseph, CFO, Co-Founder, Mr. Benny Xavier, CIO, Co-Founder, Ms. Ann Mary Ajay, Head of Operations and Mr. Aswin C J, Design Lead  UI-UX Designer.

RIAFY Technology Pvt Ltd is a technology company that builds localised and highly scalable apps. A group of young B. Tech graduates created the company, which is now at the height of its prosperous operation . RIAFY has secured prestigious achievements like Most Promising Start-up Award in 2014, Best Start-up Award in 2015, and Most Grown Start-up Award in 2016. The session was started with a prayer and  followed by the welcome speech by Ms. Fiza Fathima, Student of First BBA. Mr. Neeraj Manoharan, COO introduced his team members and gave an introduction about his company RIAFY and the struggles they have faced during the initial stages of business operations. Later, Mr. Benoy, CFO has explained the role of Financial Management in running an organization and how the knowledge in Maths and Statistics helped him for being a Chief Financial Officer irrespective of B. Tech graduation.

Then, the session was handled by Mr. Benny, CIO. He asked the students to be open towards the risks and learn things that come out of the failures. He also explained the privileges  for an entrepreneur and encouraged the student community to come up with some innovative business ideas and to make it into reality. Mr. Aswin and Ms. Ann shared their experiences at RIAFY and briefed the benefits of developing a team for operating a business. There was an interactive session towards the end in which students asked about failures in business and the factors influenced them to start their venture as a team etc.

The session was really inspirational  and 57 students  benefitted out of the session. The program was coordinated by Ms. Ashina Z. (Faculty Coordinator) and Ms. Abeesha (Student Cordinator).
