As part of five-day bridge course, the Department of Economics has organised a one-day workshop on Communication Skills Development Programme SPEAK FOR FUTURE for first year students on 28/10/2022 in the seminar hall. Dr.Sajin PJ, Assistant Professor, Department of English was the Resource person. The expected outcome of the programme is the development of the different skills of language. Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing Skills are given equal importance. At the end of the programme the learners would be able to use English fluently. Their confidence level will be improved as training is given to face interviews and group discussions. Hence the programme helps the students in their career advancement. Activity based teaching methodology is implemented to ensure the active participation of the learners. It was followed by an interactive session, answering the queries from the student community . The participants gave their feedback explaining how the program helped to improve their communication skills and made them more confident of using English in a better way.
