Password 2022–23 was a one-day free personality development career guidance camp organised by the State Minority Welfare Department and held at Al Ameen College, Edathala, in association with the Career Guidance Cell of Al Ameen College. This camp is part of the projects implemented by the State Minority Welfare Department aimed at the socio-economic and educational progress of religious minorities. This project, which is usually conducted for the high school and higher secondary sections, has now been included at the degree level as well, which is why Al Ameen College could take part in such a great programme.

The formal session for the programme commenced at 9.45 am with the welcome address of Dr. Cini Kurian, Principal, Al Ameen College, followed by the presidential address by Mr. Tony Sebastian, Thahsildar, Aluva. The programme was officially inaugurated by lighting the lamp at the hands of Mrs. Preeja Kunjumon, President, Edathala Grama Panchayath, Chief Guest of the Day, and other dignitaries on stage. A detailed description of the programme was elaborated by Dr. Sulekha K.K., Principal, CCMY, Aluva. Dr. Leena Varghese, IQAC Coordinator, Al Ameen College, felicitated the gathering..

Following the formal inauguration, the technical sessions started. The session focused on areas such as motivation, career guidance, and personality development with Sudheer P.A., a resource person from the minority welfare department. The session was so informative and enlightening that students were able to acquire the knowledge, information, and skills necessary to identify career options that help them make their career decisions and also to understand, analyse, develop, and exhibit an accurate sense of self, which itself was the main aim of the programme.

The next phase of the programme, session II, was conducted in the afternoon by Dr. K.M. H. Iqbal, who is also a resource person from the minority welfare department. The topics covered through the session were leadership, time management, and goal setting. Students really benefited from this session, as it was extremely informative, enjoyable, and above all, a valuable session where the participants could really look forward to applying the techniques they had learned into practise. It also gave guidance to students on how to focus their time and resources efficiently. Both sessions ended very successfully, followed by a feedback session where positive responses were received from the students regarding the camp.

The valedictory function of the course started with the certificate distribution to the participants of the programme. On behalf of Al-Ameen College, Edathala, Ms. Reyza Nezrin, Faculty, Al-Ameen College, expressed sincere gratitude to all hands behind the valuable and successful programme. The dignitaries of the day, various representatives from CCMY and the Collectorate Department in Ernakulam, shared their reviews and feedback on the programme. This event was successfully coordinated with the hard work and sincere efforts of Dr. Abdul Hakeem, Coordinator (Competitive Examination Cell), and Faculty, Department of Economics, Al Ameen College, Edathala.

Many of our children possess a variety of intrinsic talents that, if they had the chance to develop them, they may have great possibilities in life. It will be a wonderful accomplishment if such children can be located and provided the required instruction and motivation through various programmes. Password 2022–23 was unquestionably one of these successful occasions.
