NSS unit of Al Ameen College Edathala visited Kerala Rehabilitation Institute for the Physically Affected (KRIPA) bhavan on 8/12/2022 in accordance to International Disability Day. 20 NSS volunteers visited the institute and conducted different types of program and fun activities. The children surprised us with their talents. The volunteers distributed gifts to the students. The in charge, father of the school described about the activities of the school which is being done for the children. Father showed different areas and other features of the school. They find their own financial support through candle making, book making, umbrella making, and production of decoration bulbs for the Christmas, father also showed and explained it to us. The visit to special school, arranged by NSS has given a first-hand experience to volunteers that helped them to identify and handle students with special needs with confidence and helped to identify the skills needed to help special students.
