On October 26, 2023, the Department of Mathematics conducted a comprehensive one-day workshop on Python programming in the computer lab at Al-Ameen College, Edathala. The workshop, aimed at both undergraduate and postgraduate students, was meticulously organized and attended by six teachers and 42 enthusiastic students, including participants from various external institutions.
The workshop focused on highlighting Python’s user-friendly attributes, emphasizing its simplicity for beginners, and underscoring its status as a free and open-source language. The well-structured session saw active participation from both UG and PG students. Dr. Vinitha T, Head of the Department of Mathematics, delivered the welcome speech, and Dr. A.V. Prajeesh, Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, served as the resource person.
Miss Safvana P.K., the student representative, extended a warm welcome to both the resource person and the attending teachers. During his session, Dr. A.V. Prajeesh engaged with the students, providing valuable insights into both the theoretical and practical aspects of Python programming. The session successfully concluded at 4:30 PM, with Miss Abia delivering the vote of thanks, expressing gratitude for the engaging and informative workshop.
