NSS UNIT-02 of Al-Ameen College Edathala conducted a cleaning drive at Aluva district hospital on 2nd November to 4th November 2022 as part of Kayakalp-Swatch Bharath Abhiyan Competition, a government of India’s initiative to promote clean hospitals, with more than 350 quality check points on cleanliness, infection control and community participation
On the first day of cleaning drive program 27 NSS volunteers participated. Cleaning drive program started at 10.00 am by dividing NSS volunteers into 7 groups and each group was allotted different areas to clean such as main entrance of district hospital, casualty, corridors etc. On the second dayof cleaning drive program ,28 NSS volunteers participated. On that day cleaning drive started at 10:00am and each group was allotted different areas such as library, garden and the volunteers painted main entrance of District hospital. On the third day of cleaning drive program, 39 NSS volunteers participated. On that day NSS volunteers were divided into 6 groups and each group was allotted different areas like library, covid ward etc. Volunteers painted the hospital compound wall also.
