The Department of Computer Science, in collaboration with TechByHeart and Intern Can, organized a comprehensive Ethical Hacking Workshop as part of the Computer Association Inauguration on December 18th & 19th, 2023. The programme was conducted in the seminar hall. The event unfolded over two days, providing an engaging platform for exploration and collaboration in the field of cybersecurity.

The inauguration of the workshop was a momentous occasion presided over by Dr. Cini Kurian, Principal, Al Ameen College, who added prestige to the event. The ceremony began with the traditional lighting of the lamp, symbolizing the enlightenment and pursuit of knowledge. Head of the departments Ms. Beenatries N Joy and Ms. Vijaya Gopinath M graced the occasion, providing their valuable insights and encouragement.

On the day one of the Ethical Hacking Workshop, held in conjunction with the inauguration, brought together 78 participants from various colleges eager to delve into the ethical dimensions of hacking. Mr. Rohith N, a distinguished Cybersecurity Expert from TechByHeart, shared valuable insights and real-world examples, igniting a passion for ethical hacking among the attendees.

Mr. Muhammed Minhaj of II B.Sc. Computer Science, the student coordinator of the entire program, played a pivotal role in ensuring the success and coordination of the workshop. The organizing committee, comprising 12 members from 6 classes, was led by a faculty coordinator.

On the day two of the workshop, engaging sessions explored foundational and advanced concepts of ethical hacking. Practical exercises were done in the Seminar Hall’s well- equipped environment, enhancing participants’ skills. The event culminated with a hackathon, in association with InternCan, which challenged participants to apply acquired skills in a competitive setting. Certificates of participation were  distributed to all participants.
