The Department of Commerce(self) at Al-Ameen College organized a debate on 21/3/24 at 11 am in the college auditorium. The topic under discussion was  “Is a 4-year UG course a bane or boon to students?” The event saw enthusiastic participation from about 100 students.
Dr. Sreeja S, the Nodal Officer for FYUGP at Al-Ameen College, set the stage by  explaining the details of the proposed FYUGP and emphasizing its importance to students  highlighting  the objectives and benefits of the 4-year UG course. Following Dr. Sreeja’s introduction, the debate commenced with students presenting arguments both for and against the 4-year UG course. The participants engaged in a lively discussion, expressing various perspectives on the impact of the FYGUP on students.
The debate provided a platform for students to voice their opinions and concerns regarding the FYGUP. It highlighted the diverse views on the 4-year UG course, fostering a deeper understanding of the issue among the participants.
Overall, the debate was informative and engaging, stimulating critical thinking and encouraging students to reflect on the advantages and challenges of the 4-year UG course. ‎
