Department of chemistry conducted a seminar on the topic “Art of Project Writing” on 5^th February 2024 for the final year and second year BSc Chemistry students in the seminar hall.  Dr Neena George, Assistant Professor, Department of Chemistry, St. Alberts College (Autonomous), Ernakulam, will be the resource person. The objective of the seminar was to provide a systematic treatment to the students and how to move towards for doing a research project and how to write the project thesis.

The programme starts with a silent prayer, Dr Shibini Mol P A, faculty member of department of chemistry Al Ameen College welcome the resource person, Dr. Neena George and also gave a brief introduction about the seminar topic. Dr. Neena delivered the step by step guidance of project designing, from the research topic selection, experiment doing and the project report writing. She covered the fundamentals of research project selection. She also delivered a brief idea about the different chapters in the project thesis. She gave a complete idea about how to write literature survey chapter. Different bibliographic styles were also discussed.

The topic was very much relevant in the current scenario and the resource person took the class from the very basic. The seminar opens for interaction with the students and the speaker answered many doubts raised by the students and clarifying their doubts. A total of sixty one students attended the session
