Students from the MSc Computer Science participated a state-level conclave held by the Kerala Institute for Entrepreneurship Development, Department of Industries and Commerce, Government of Kerala, on 2022 September 14.A total of 39 teams of selected student entrepreneurs from various districts participated in the boot camp. The Hon’ble Mayor of the City, Smt. Arya Rajendran, was the chief guest. The Hon’ble Minister for Industries, Law & Coir, Shri. P. Rajeev, inaugurated the programme. After the inauguration ceremony, the major events started in different halls of the venue. On the first day, meet the entrepreneur, theYuva Boot Camp contest pitch and Product Expo were conducted by the student entrepreneurs across Kerala.
On the second day, meet the entrepreneurs, the Product Expo and panel discussions, and investor pitching were conducted. The conference was on the topics “Industry Academy Collaboration as the Powerhouse of Innovation,”, “Embracing Entrepreneurship Mindset in Students and Youth,”, “MSME Entrepreneurship in the Era of the Gig Economy and Industry 4.0″ and The Role of Media in Fostering Entrepreneurship.”.
At the end of the event, the Hon’ble Minister for Finance, Sri. K. N. Balagopal, awarded the winners a grant of Rs. 100,000 per team in the final and selected teams from Product Expo got funding support from the founders. All the participants got the participation certificate at the end of the ceremony.
