Department of Tourism of AL-AMEEN College, had organized National Study Tour to Agra-Delhi-Rajasthan-Punjab-Manali -Kasol-Delhi from 25th January to 08th h February 2024. The department had organized this tour to North India with the following objectives that:-
- Students should know about their country
- Students should be exposed to historical corridors of the country
- Students should be aware of its glorious history, heritage of India
- Students should learn management skills, teamwork, leadership skills, marketing strategies, production line, and Automation etc.
The tour started on 25th January 2024 with 52 students (18 girls+34 boys) and 2 faculty. According to Plan of tour we had covered Historical Monuments and Hill stations.
Day 1: Arrival in Agra
On the first day, we checked in at Ashish Palace Hotel. After freshening up, the students visited Agra and spent time at the Taj Mahal. In the evening, we went shopping in Agra before returning to the hotel for the night.
Agra is a city situated on the banks of the Yamuna River in the northern state of Uttar Pradesh, India. It is located 378 kilometers west of Lucknow, 206 kilometers south of New Delhi, 58 kilometers south of Mathura, and 125 kilometers north of Gwalior. As one of the most populous cities in Uttar Pradesh and the 24th most populous city in India, Agra is renowned for its Mughal-era architecture, including the Taj Mahal, Agra Fort, and Fatehpur Sikri, all of which are UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Agra is also part of the Golden Triangle tourist circuit, which includes Delhi and Jaipur, and the Uttar Pradesh Heritage Arc, which includes Lucknow and Varanasi. The city falls within the Braj cultural region.
Day 2: Exploring Agra and Delhi
On the second day, we visited Agra Fort early in the morning. Afterward, we returned to the hotel for breakfast. At 10:30 AM, we traveled to Fatehpur Sikri for sightseeing. After completing our visit, we checked out from the hotel and proceeded to Delhi. We arrived in Delhi, the capital city of India, and checked in at Kabir Palace, where we stayed for one night. In Delhi, we visited Raj Ghat, the Indira Gandhi National Museum, and Jama Masjid (Friday Mosque). We also went shopping in areas like Karol Bagh and Chandni Chowk, enjoying our time there.
Day 3: Journey to Jaipur
After breakfast, we checked out of the hotel and traveled to Jaipur, the capital city of Rajasthan. Before checking in, we visited Hawa Mahal and went shopping in the area. By night, we checked into the hotel and had dinner.
Day 4: Exploring Jaipur
Following breakfast, we visited Jantar Mantar and the City Palace. After lunch, we traveled to Amer Fort (Amber Fort). In the evening, we departed for Amritsar, the capital city of Punjab.
Day 5: Amritsar Exploration
In the morning, we arrived in Amritsar and checked into a hotel to freshen up and have breakfast. We then visited Jallianwala Bagh, the site where many lives were lost during the Jallianwala Bagh massacre. We proceeded to the Golden Temple, a significant Sikh holy site, and spent time shopping in the area. After lunch, we visited the Wagah Border, enjoying the experience there. At night, we began our journey towards Manali.
Day 6: Arrival in Manali
We reached Manali in the morning, had breakfast, and went river rafting at Beas River in Kullu Village. In the evening, we visited Mall Road for shopping and stayed overnight in Manali.
Day 7: Enjoying Manali
After breakfast, we spent time on the hotel premises, where students played in the snow and enjoyed themselves. By evening, we checked out from the hotel and proceeded to Kasol. We arrived at night and stayed there.
Day 8: Kasol and Return to Delhi
After breakfast, we visited Manikaran and took a hot water bath there. Following lunch, we checked out from the hotel and returned to Delhi, where we stayed for two days. We visited the Red Fort, Qutub Minar, and India Gate, and engaged in shopping as well.
Day 9: Delhi and the Baha’i House of Worship
After breakfast, we visited the Baha’i House of Worship, which is dedicated to the oneness of humanity and religion. It serves as a center for social, scientific, educational, and humanitarian services. We also visited India Gate and had lunch at Kerala House Delhi.
Day 10: Departure
In the early morning, we checked out from the hotel and proceeded to the railway station to board the train to Cochin. The tour was a memorable experience, and everyone enjoyed it thoroughly. Feedback from the students indicated that they were very happy and satisfied with the tour.
