The Nature Club and the Women Cell of the college jointly started marigold cultivation in the campus. It was planned with an idea of setting up a flower stall in Aluva and Ernakulam during the onam season. Dr.Jalaja,KAU,Mannuthy supported the programme. Two marigold varieties (Orange and yellow) were planted in the 60 cents of barren land in the college campus. The harvesting of flowers was done by botanist Dr C.M Joy in the presence of our principal Prof M B Sasidharan. Nearly 250 kgs of flowers were harvested. The money from the flower cultivation was donated to two Anganwadis in Kadungalloorpanchayath.
