Department of Economics has organized one day industrial visit to Kanan  Devan Hills Plantations Company (P) Limited, Munnar   on Saturday 25/2/2020. A team of 34 students from II BA Economics accompanied by 3 teachers visited the industry.Industrial visit is considered as one of the tactical methods of teaching. The main reason behind this is, it lets student to know things practically through interaction, working methods and employment practices. Moreover, it gives exposure from academic point of view.The Students visited production area of the tea factory and examined the process of producing tea and its different process. The students were briefed about the establishment of the company, administration, maintenance, production line, and manufacturing process. The queries of the students regarding local, national and international demand for Indian tea were also clarified. Students interacted with the guide and obtained a lot of information regarding manufacturing and marketing of the tea products.This industrial visit was an enriching experience for the students in getting live exposure.
