The department of biotechnology in association with the Indian Medical Association conducted “First Aid & CPR Training – Each One Teach One” On 19 October 2022 at 2.00 pm. CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) is an emergency procedure that can help to save someone’s life if their breathing or heart stops. This procedure means life or death for someone in medical distress. The programme was organized for the local community from different wards of Edathala Gramapanchayath. The purpose  of the training was to teach CPR at least for one person in a family and to share the knowledge with others. Ms.Rahimol Ramesh, HOD, Department Of  Biotechnology delivered the welcome speech. Dr.Cini Kurian, Principal, Al-Ameen College, Edathala felicitated the programme. And the programme was inaugurated by the Edathala18th  ward member Mr.Afsal Kunjumon. The training was led by Dr. Hanish MM, the elected president of IMA. There were around 158 people participated in the training programme, out of which 74 participants were from different wards of Edathala Gramapanchayath. Ms.Sanooja MS And Ms.Chinnu PS were the coordinators of the programme. The program came to an end at 4.30 pm by the vote of thanks of Ms.Chinnu PS. Feedback from participants indicated that the training was a great success and they were very pleased with it.
