On 12th May 2024, Al-Ameen College, in collaboration with Edathala Service Cooperative Bank, successfully organized a Career Guidance and MukhaMugham: Face-to-Face with Your Career Aspirations event at the Rajiv Gandhi Auditorium, Malayappally. The program aimed to provide students and parents with crucial insights into career planning and the new educational reforms under the MGU Four-Year Undergraduate Program (FYUGP), along with motivational guidance

The event was inaugurated by Anwar Sadath MLA, who emphasized the importance of career counseling in today’s competitive world, particularly for students transitioning into higher education. He highlighted the necessity for students to align their education with future career prospects and the demands of the evolving job market.

Following the inaugural address, Dr. Varghese Cherian, Chairman of the MGU FYUGP Curriculum Committee, delivered the keynote speech. Dr. Cherian elaborated on the significance of the FYUGP, which is designed to provide students with a holistic and flexible learning experience. He outlined how the program is structured to promote interdisciplinary learning, critical thinking, and practical skills that will prepare students for the challenges of the modern workforce.The event was presided over by Dr.Junaid Rahman, Manager of Al-Ameen College, Edathala. In his address, Dr. Rahman underscored the importance of career guidance sessions and direct interaction with educational experts, particularly for students facing crucial academic and career choices.

One of the key segments of the event was the session led by Dr.Sreeja S, Master Trainer of the MGU FYUGP. Dr.Sreeja provided an in-depth overview of the new four-year undergraduate program, emphasizing its flexible curriculum, multidisciplinary approach, and the various exit options available at different stages. She highlighted how the new system allows students to either specialize or explore a wide range of subjects, equipping them with knowledge and skills tailored to their aspirations and career goals. This session also created much-needed awareness among both students and parents about the evolving landscape of higher education and the new regulations governing the undergraduate programs.

Motivational Session

In the afternoon, the students and attendees were engaged in a motivational session conducted by renowned speaker V.K. Suresh Babu. His session focused on personal development, goal- setting, and staying motivated in the face of challenges. He spoke about the importance of perseverance, self-discipline, and maintaining a positive mindset, especially when navigating career paths.
