The department of Computer Science conducted a workshop on “Photoshop”. The classes were engaged by first year BCA student, RIYAS K H. The program was conducted on 29/03/2021. The computer science lab 1 was the venue. About 20 systems were installed with Photoshop software. The class was intended for the first-year students of BSc Computer Science as well as BCA. Total of twelve participants were there.

Adobe Photoshop is an image editing software developed and published by Adobe Inc. It is the most widely used software tool for image editing, graphic design, and digital art. It allows the users to create and edit images and then save them in one of many formats. As online class are continuing, knowing Photoshop is becoming important as most of the activities are done online. So, the program aimed at educating students a new skill in this pandemic time.

The session began with a silent prayer in the presence of HOD Ms. Beenatries N Joy, Ms. Vijaya Gopinath M, and our faculty, Ms. Namitha Salim. It was followed by a welcome speech delivered by our beloved HOD Beenatries N Joy and Vijaya Gopinath M. An introduction speech was given by Ms. Namitha Salim. Then the first session started at 10.00AM. The Photoshop tools were introduced and the students were made familiar with it. First session ended at 12.30. After the lunch break the second session started at 1.30 which ended at 3.30 PM.

The students found the program very interesting as they were able to know more about the use of Photoshop.
