Department of Economics organised a week long online workshop on Basic Econometrics  from 19/10/2020 to 23/10/2020. Dr. K.P. Vipin Chandran, Assistant Professor, KMM Govt. College, Kannur was the resource person. Econometrics is a newly introduced paper in the syllabus  of  BA  Economics by  Mahatma Gandhi University. For the students who come from non-Mathematics stream at the Plus Two Level, it is a difficult paper to understand and they approach the subject with fear. The objective of the workshop was to provide basic tips and easy method for understanding of the subject clearly. 173 students and 26 teachers attended the webinar. The workshop touched the entire syllabus and gave the students a concrete idea about the application of   Econometrics in the field of Economics.
