On the 15th of February 2024, a group of students from the Department of Biotechnology accompanied by two faculty members, Ms. Nazla K A and Ms. Chinnu P S, visited the School of Medical Education in Kottayam. The purpose of the visit was to provide the students with practical insights into research, and facilities available at the institution. Upon arrival, the group was given a warm welcome by the staff and faculty of the School of Medical Education. An introductory session was conducted, providing an overview of the institution’s history, mission, and academic programs. Students had the opportunity to engage in interactive sessions with professors and researchers from the School of Medical Education. Discussions covered a wide range of topics including ongoing research projects, medical advancements, and career opportunities in the field of biotechnology and medicine. The visit to the School of Medical Education in Kottayam proved to be highly informative and enriching for the students of the Department of Biotechnology. It provided them with valuable insights into the intersection of biotechnology and medicine, as well as exposure to advanced research facilities and practices.
