The Department of English conducted a translation workshop on 03rd May 2019. The workshop was conducted by Dr. Tharun Kurian Alex, Senior Research Scholar in Translation Studies, Sree sankaracharya University, Kalady. The event was presided over by Prof. Chitaranjan K V, head of the department of English. Three sessions were held namely, Mind and language, Cognitive translation and Practice Workshop in translation from Malayalam to English. The program was helpful for the students as it gave them a hands-on experience on translation. The final session was a practice of translating a Malayalam excerpt to English. This program opened the door to the world of translation studies for the participants.
