As a part of finding solution to current environmental issues do to improper waste disposal, Department of Biotechnology had organized a one day training program on household waste management for the villagers of different wards, in collaboration with Edathala Grama Panchayath. About 56 villagers participated in the training program. We got a lot of positive feedbacks about the program. It was a very helpful and also inspiring class. Edathala grama panchayath president offered subsidy for the villagers to build a vermin compost or biogas plant in their home. The program was a grant success. The official vote of thanks was delivered by Dr. Dhanya .V, Assistant Professor, Department of Biotechnology. The programme held on 22 March 2017.
