The Department of Biotechnology conducted a health and wellness campaign as part of world diabetes day. The major objective of the programme was to provide awareness about the life style diseases and to enlighten the public with the importance of monitoring individual health. The programme was coordinated by the students of the department.

The programme started at 12: 30 pm in the biotechnology lab. As part of the campaign the students checked the Blood sugar level, blood pressure and calculated the BMI. Students and teachers from different departments participated in the programme. Registration fees were fixed as 1 rupee. After conducting the tests the participants were given a gooseberry. The programme came to an end by 3:30 pm. The programme was a grand success with immense response from the participants.
