The Department of Additional Language hosted a seminar titled “Humour in Language: Possibilities and Perspectives,” featuring V.K.K. Ramesh, a distinguished writer and Kerala Sahitya Akademi awardee, as the main speaker. During his presentation, Ramesh discussed the challenges writers face in crafting quality humor within their literary works, emphasizing the nuances and complexities involved in this unique genre.

The session was presided over by Dr. Cini Kurian, the Principal, who highlighted the importance of humor in literature and its role in enriching language. Dr. Leena Varghese and Dr. Shaniba M.H. delivered felicitation speeches, offering their insights into the significance of humor as a literary device and encouraging students to explore its various forms.

Shelley A.N. welcomed the gathering, creating an inviting atmosphere for the discussion, while Amina M.S. concluded the event with a thoughtful vote of thanks, expressing appreciation to the speaker and participants for their contributions.

The seminar attracted numerous students from various departments, who actively engaged in the discussion, sharing their thoughts and experiences related to humor in literature.
