Department of Sound Engineering conducted a Hands on session on the topic ‘Sampling and Synthesis’ by Musician Mr. Manoj Jons David. The seminar was conducted on 06th January 2023. Manoj Jons David, director with VIRTUOSOMUSIC SOLUTIONS PRIVATE LIMITED, and his session was very enlightening to the students.

Manoj Jons David took over the session by introducing his current work profile, and demonstrated various projects which he is currently working on. The session began with the basics of MIDI and evolution of synthesizer. Later on, he explained about different engineering techniques used in current music industry. Also, he shared various scenarios in which he creatively rectified the issues while mixing live concerts in different countries. In the afternoon session, he demonstrated how to operate a sampler. It was an interesting and inspiring session for the students, and also a golden opportunity to interact with a senior audio engineer.

The session concluded with a vote of thanks by B.Voc Department Faculty Christopher V M.
