Premarital counselling course conducted by Minority Welfare Department, government of Kerala, was jointly organized by CCMY Aluva,Women Cell and Minority Cell of Al Ameen College, Edathala from 13 to 16 December 2021. The course was inaugurated by Panchayath president Smt. Preeja Kunjumon and was presided by ward member Sri. Afsal Kunjumon. Mrs. Hiba Rahman E, coordinator of college minority cell welcomed the gathering. CCMY Principal Mrs. Sulekha and Principal in Charge Mrs. Daly K R felicitated the occasion. Dr. Shaniba M H, coordinator of women cell proposed the vote of thanks. The target group was PG students. The classes were conducted in two batches. The first batch consisted of 35 students. The morning session was from 9.30am to 12.30 pm and afternoon session was from 1.30pm to 4.30pm. A total of 8 sessions were conducted for both the batches on very relevant aspects of married life. On the first day, December 13th, forenoon session was handled by Shifa Thangal on the topic ‘An introduction to married life’ and afternoon session handled by Adv. Kunjumon on the topic ‘Husband and wife relationship’. On December 14, forenoon session was by Dr. Bindu Philip on the topic ‘Physiology’ and afternoon session was by Akhilu Thomas on the topic ‘In-laws relationship’. On December 15, forenoon session was by Adv. M K Haq on topic ‘Budgeting’ and afternoon session was by Dr. C S Ambika Devi on topic ‘Parenting’. On the last day, December 16, forenoon session was by Adv. Shaijan Joseph on ‘ Marriage laws’ and afternoon session was a group counseling session by Raseena Padmaja. Feedback was gathered for each session.
