Malayalam is most loved by those who leave Kerala behind and the future of Malayalam willbe in foreign countries, says noted writer Benyamin, who shot to fame with his magnumopus Adujeevitham. He was inaugurating the Malayalam Language Week observance held at Al- Ameen College by the Department of Malayalam. It is in the foreign nations that many developmental activities for Malayalam take place. “If I were in Kerala, I doubt if I could have become a writer”, Benyamin pointed out. Homeland, its green and earth become more fertile with the homesickness of the expatriates. Language and literature nourish from this, he said. V Muzafar Ahammed, noted travel writer, delivered the keynote address on the topic expatriates and Malayalam language.
