Learning to drive is a fantastic, lifelong skill. It makes a person more confident and life much easier. Life, as a woman, becomes more convenient when she know how to drive.  It adds a milestone in a woman’s life, marking her with maturity and independence. Al Ameen College Women Empowerment Cell has initiated a project entitled ‘She Drives’– to teach the female students of our college an additional skill, driving. The objective of this project is to make our girls more confident and independent. This will enable them to learn an additional skill when they graduate from this college. The inauguration of She Drives was held on 8th March 2021 on International Women’s Day. Miss. Leslie Sahajam Augustine, a freelance writer and solo traveler flagged off the first class .The principal Dr. Cini Kurian, Women Cell Convener, Dr. Shaniba M.H, staff and students were present on the occasion. In the first phase, hundered students were admitted on first come first basis. Perfect Lady Driving School, Edathala and Anas Driving School, Aluva are the two driving schools associated with the project.
