The Postgraduate Department of Mathematics at Al-Ameen College, Edathala, organized an outreach program “Ganitham: Lalitham,Madhuram” aimed at fostering interest and understanding in mathematics among school students. The program featured Dr. A Vijayakumar, Emeritus Professor from Cochin University of Science and Technology, as the resource person. The event witnessed active participation from approximately 105 students of Govt. Nochima School, along with the arrangement of an exhibition to enrich the learning experience.

The program commenced with an enlightening interactive session led by Dr. A Vijayakumar, who shared insights into the significance and applications of mathematics in different domains. Students had the opportunity to engage with Dr. Vijayakumar, ask questions, and gain valuable perspectives on the subject. An exhibition was organized concurrently, featuring displays and demonstrations showcasing various aspects of mathematics. Exhibits included mathematical models, puzzles, visual representations of mathematical concepts, and applications of mathematics in everyday life. The exhibition aimed to stimulate curiosity and provide students with tangible examples of mathematical principles.Additionally, hands-on activities were conducted to encourage active participation and reinforce learning. Students engaged in problem-solving tasks, group activities, and mathematical games designed to enhance their understanding and appreciation of mathematical concepts.
