Al-Ameen College has observed the World Senior Citizens Day on 1st October 2019. This day is marked to recognize and appreciate the contributions that older people make to society. This year theme was AMMA RUCHI- Cookery show Traditional food taste of Kerala .Al-Ameen college union made a platform for the reunion 28 senior mothers from Edathala and Kanjoor Grama Panchayath in the college campus .During interactive session with students they shared recipe of traditional food of Kerala, like Payasam, Rice Ada etc . Live Cookery show was arranged in the Auditorium. Both boys and girls participated in cooking with great enthusiasm and interest. The “Ammmas” gave instructions and tips while cooking. After the cookery show they performed traditional cultural programs like folk song,group song at college auditorium .The Principal Prof.M.B.Sasidharan, honored them by wearing PONNADA. The students presented various cultural programmes in order to entertain them. They also extended their gratitude for providing one of the happiest memorable days in their life. The programme ended with the vote of thanks by Prof. Shaniba.M.H, the Staff Advisor.
