Department of Chemistry, Al- Ameen College, Edathala, organized an Alumni Webinar series: Igniting Young Minds from August 2020 onwards. The aim of the program was to utilize the expertise of eminent Alumni of the department to help offer a better future to our students. Dr. Leji Latheef, HOD, Department of Chemistry welcomed the gathering. The first session on the topic “How to create a winning mind” was handled by Anand Kumar, Director, Trans Asia Line, Malaysia on 26th August 2020. The speaker interacted with the students and gave tips on how to achieve specific goals in life. “Focus on winning not the winners”, was the mantra. “Winners are not the ones who try something and quit if doesn’t work.” he added. The speaker talked about the importance of maintaining discipline in life to achieve the goals. Also, he gave awareness about the job opportunities abroad. The students interacted zealously and with interest. Around 65 students attended the session, which came to a wrap with Prof. Indu G proposing the vote of thanks.
