Department of Sound Engineering conducted a Hands on Session on “Film Score” for students on 27th February 2023. The hands on session was taken by Akash Philip Mathew, Music Composer.

The session began at 10:30 am with a short welcome note by Nandu R. Later, Akash Philip Mathew handled the session by introducing his current working profile, and demonstrated various projects which he is currently working on. He explained to students the role of Film score in audio industry. Various examples were introduced to the students.Later on, he showed a short video clip of the film Jurassic Park and asked the students to provide the background score for the clip.Students were really enthusiastic to do that practical session. There was an interactive Q&A session with Akash Philip Mathew where the students asked their doubts and various other questions related to film score. It was an interesting and inspiring session for the students.

The session concluded by a vote of thanks by the B.Voc Faculty, Christopher V M.
