It was a two-day program which was conducted at the Seminar Hall, Al-Ameen College, Edathala. There were totally 7 sessions, 4 sessions on the first day and 3 sessions on the second day, which were from 10 AM – 4.45 PM on the first day and 9.30 AM – 4 PM on the second day.

DAY 1

Day 1 started at 10 AM by inaugural session, followed by 4-sessions including a parallel session of paper presentation.

INAUGURAL SESSION

The program started with inaugural session at 10 AM. The Presidential address was given by  Dr.Leena Varghese, IQAC coordinator, Al-Ameen college, Edathala. Felicitation was given by Dr. Vinitha T, HOD, Department of Mathematics, Al-Ameen College, Edathala. The program was inaugurated by Dr. Sunil Jacob John, Professor, Department of Mathematics, National Institute of Technology, Calicut, by lighting the lamp, followed by his inaugural address. The vote of thanks was delivered by Ms. Pavana Devassykutty, Asstistant Professor, Al-Ameen College, Edathala.

TECHNICAL SESSION I (10.45 AM-12.30PM)

The very first session by Dr. Sunil Jacob John, Professor, Department of Mathematics, National Institute of Technology, Calicut, on the topic “On some generalizations of fuzzy sets and application”. He gave a brief description about various kinds of fuzzy sets including intuitionistic fuzzy set, Pythagorean fuzzy set, picture fuzzy set, spherical fuzzy set, etc.

TECHNICAL SESSION II (01.30 PM-03.00 PM)

The second session was delivered by Dr. Sunil Mathew, Associate Professor, Department of Mathematics, National Institute of Technology, Calicut, on the topic “An introduction to fuzzy graph theory”. Fuzzy graph theory is a combination of graph theory and fuzzy set theory have been applied in various fields of science and engineering. The talk focused more on the real-life applications of fuzzy logic and fuzzy graph.

PARALLEL SESSION (01.30 PM-03.00 PM)

While the second session was conducting at the Seminar hall, a parallel session of paper presentations was conducted at the Board Room, chaired by Dr. Babitha.K.V, Assistant Professor, Department of Mathematics, Govt College, Madapally, and hosted by Riya Sakkeer, second year Msc student, Department of Mathematics. A total of 8 participants presented their papers.

TECHNICAL SESSION III (03.15 PM-04.45 PM)

The last session of the first day was handled by Dr. Babitha.K.V, Assistant Professor, Department of Mathematics, Govt College, Madappally on  “Soft sets and their applications in cognitive and decision process”. She explained about soft sets and its applications in decision-making process very summarily.

DAY 2

There were 3 invited talks on Day 2 which was concluded with the valedictory function. We started the program at 9.30 AM and ended at 4 PM.

TECHNICAL SESSION IV (09.30 AM-11.00 AM)

The speaker of the session was Dr. S. Dhanasekar, Associate Professor, Division of Mathematics, School of Advanced Studies, Vellore Institute of Technology, Chennai, on the topic “Fuzzy Logic and its application in operation research problem”. The discussion concentrated on several types of practical applications of fuzzy logic in the area of operations research.

TECHNICAL SESSION V (11.10 AM-12.30 PM)

The talk on this session was given by  Dr.G.Nagamani, Associate Professor, Department of Mathematics, The Gandhigram Rural Institute, Gandhigram, Dindigul on “Stability analysis of neural networks”. She explained that a neural network is a series of algorithms that endeavors to recognize underlying relationships in a set of data through a process that mimics the way the human brain operates, also discussed the stability analysis of the same.

TECHNICAL SESSION VI (01.30 PM-03.00 PM)

This was the last session of our program which was taken by Dr. Manivannan Annamalai, Assistant Professor, Division of Mathematics, School of Advanced Studies, Vellore Institute of Technology, Chennai on “Takani- Sugeno fuzzy systems and its applications”.

VALEDICTORY FUNCTION

The function was started at 3.15 P.M. with the words from Dr. Cini Kurian, Principal of Al-Ameen college, Edathala. Later, the certificates were distributed to the participants. The vote of thanks was delivered by Ms. Fathima Perveen P A, Assistant Professor (Program Convener), Department of Mathematics, Al-Ameen College, Edathala.
