Pathway-Social Life Wellness Programme 2023-2024, organized by the State Minority Welfare Department Was held on 27th,28th and 29th November 2023 at Al-Ameen College Edathala.
Registration for the programme started at 9.00 am. Inauguration ceremony conducted at 9.30 AM. The Welcome speech was given by Dr. Shaniba M H, Assistant. Professor Department of Economics, Dr. K.K Sulaikha, and Principal Department of minority welfare Aluva section delivered the presidential address. The programme was inaugurated by Dr. Cini Kurian, Principal. Felicitation was given by Dr. Leena Varghese, IQAC Co-ordinator and Vote of thanks by Ms. Husna P A, Programme co-ordinator.
The class aimed to provide guidance and support to teenage girls who are planning to get married in the near future. The class was designed to help students to understand the importance of communication, trust and commitment in a successful marriage.
The Pathway Social Life Wellness Programme was conducted in a workshop format, with interactive section and group discussion. The class was conducted by a team of experienced counselors, with wide knowledge in these respected areas. The class was divided into two sections, with the first section focused in introduction and marriage for social wellness by Adv. Chalie Paul from 9.30 am to 12.45 pm including 15 minutes tea break. The second section focused on effective communication skills for couples and healthy online communications by Assistant.Professor Fable Varghese from 1.30 pm to 4.45 pm including tea break of 15 minutes.
On the second day the classes were taken by Mr. Aibel Mathai J. on family budgeting. The class started at 9.30 am to 12.45 pm including 15 minutes tea break. The afternoon section focused on infant and adolescent parenting skills, sex education and pregnancy by Bindu Philip from 1.30 pm to 4.45 pm including 15 minutes tea break.
On last day the classes were taken by Ms. Nishi Salam and Adv. Shajan Joseph about the topic effective management of in law relationship and conflict resolution techniques from 9.30 am to 12.45 pm and 1.30 pm to 4.45 pm about legal and religious aspects of marriage including 15 minutes tea break respectively.
The concluding ceremony of Pathway Social Life Wellness Programme was started at 4.45 pm. The ceremony began with a welcome address by IQAC co-ordinator, Dr. Leena Varghese, who thanked the students for their participation and emphasized the importance of pre-marital counseling in building strong foundation for a successful marriage.
The students Fidha Pareed, Aathikka M A and Muhammed Sahad K A shared their experiences and learnings from the class. Programme co-ordinator Ms.Husna P A has given vote of thanks for the entire team.The ceremony concluded with the distribution of certificates to the students. Certificates were distributed by IQAC Co-ordinator Dr.Leena Varghese, Dr. Shaniba M H NAAC co-ordinator.
