The Department of BBA conducted a National webinar on “Supply chain management” for the students and teaching faculties on 15th October, 2020. Mrs. Deepthi Serene Jose (Head of the Department) delivered the welcome address. The webinar was inaugurated by Dr. Cini Kurian, the Principal, Al Ameen College. In her inaugural address, she emphasised the relevance of the topic. The resource person was Mr. OT Sivaram Nambiar, former Marketing Director of Spices Board. He had engaged the session about one hour.

During the webinar, he shared his experience in various organisations. Throughout the presentation, he highlighted how some collaboration integrates environmental, social and economic sustainability principles in the supply chain management strategies. He also added that, when Vendor managed inventory is implemented correctly; it can be “win-win” for both supplier and customer. He also discussed the best practices for implementing and focusing on the techniques, that will improve overall supply chain performance.

A total of 121 participants benefited from the webinar, which included 25 students from IIT Madras; Bharathiar University; AVC College, Tamilnadu; St. Agnes College, Mangalore and EWIT College, Bangalore.

At the end of the presentation, there was a Q&A session in which the participants asked their doubts, which helped them to clear their anxieties. The webinar was coordinated by Kavya PV, Assistant Professor, Department of BBA and the vote of thanks was delivered by Ms. Ansheena. It was a fruitful session for the students on a vibrant topic, which brought in much appreciation from the participants, both students and teachers.
