Department of Malayalam, Al-Ameen College, conducted Charlie Chaplin film festival on the 125th birth anniversary of the legendary film maker to help the students get a taste of his epic-style filmmaking. Introducing the films, Dr. Anwar Abdullah, renowned film critic and Assistant Professor of Creative Writing, Malayalam University said that Chaplin’s films were the mirrors reflected the woes, pleasures and angst of the society. Prof. K M Abdul Kareem, Principal, presided over the function. Professors K T Aisha Beevi, Leena Varghese, Sreeja S, Abdul Salam and student council member Akhil C Mohan spoke on the occasion.
