The Department of Sound Engineering conducted an online webinar, ‘Future Audio’ by audio research engineer Mr. Albin Andrew. The seminar was conducted on 21st January 2021, on Google Meet platform. Albin Andrew is a Senior Machine Learning Engineer in Moodagent, Denmark. He is also an Audio Research Engineer in University at Pompeu Farba, Barcelona.

The session began at 11 AM with a short welcome note by Mr. Harold Correya, Faculty of BVoc Department. Mr. Albin took over the session by introducing his current work profile and demonstrated various projects which he is currently working on. He explained to the students, the role of Artificial Intelligence in audio recording. Various examples and websites that uses AI were introduced to the students. Students were provided with various website links that can be used to enhance their knowledge about AI in audio and also to educate themselves regarding the upcoming new music coding technologies. Albin also showed demo of various audio technology that are currently developed in labs, but not available as an end-customer product yet. Students were really enthusiastic to know about all the new technological advancements in audio, straight from a research person. The session was very informative to the students. They were able to experience and understand the various new audio technologies of the future.
